Zie'l - achieving goals (German origin)
This group of young ladies have been touched from birth to spread the
gospel of Jesus Christ to every man, woman, boy and girl. Born and raised
in the Bright Star Baptist Church, Shreveport, LA, these ladies have been
singing together all their lives, sharing the vision of steadfastness in
the gospel music industry and keeping God first in their lives. Knowing no
weapons formed against them shall prosper, their
youthfulness, faith in God, dedication to His Holy Word and exceptional
sound makes them special. God's anointing power has placed Crystal Bell
(soprano), Aphten Jones (soprano), Christina Bell (contralto), Undrea
Northcutt (alto) and Keyondra Lockett (alto, contralto) together as "Zei'l."
During
their early beginning, they participated in a local radio station's (KMJJ)
talent show placing 3rd which was a very bold step in their ministry being
the only gospel act in the line up. In 1999 they participated in the
Gospel Workshop of Americas' "New Artist Showcase" in New Orleans, LA.
After being heard by local radio personality and introduced to Pastor
Kenny Bobien they were featured on his self-titled CD, Kenny Bobien, "His
Love." They are also featured on Odyssey Sound Labs, "Gospel Artist
United" released Spring 2004.
Zie'l's first recording, "Give Him Your Heart Today," was released in
December 2002, produced by J.J. Jones of Kool Music Productions, Carona,
CA.
